Ciara’s Sweets is in the foothills east of the Cascade Mountain range in the small town of Ellensburg, WA. This woman owned and operated business was founded in 2021 as a product of a deep seeded love for baking mixed with the countless hours spent at home perfecting the art form that is macarons during the pandemic. Although this little spark of creativity blossomed during the last several years, Ciara has always been passionate about baking and cooking.
Ciara was born in Ellensburg but spent most her life growing up in Centralia, Washington only to make her way back to Ellensburg 20 years later to attend University. She obtained a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science in 2016 with a minor in Psychology. I know you may be thinking…”Wait what? Exercise Science and baking macarons? Crazy!” Can you say BALANCE! Ciara believes balance in life is key. She loves exercising and eating healthful foods but believes that indulging yourself occasionally, is a form of self-care. With how important health and wellness is to her life, she works hard at bring the highest quality ingredients to the kitchen to offer the highest quality treats.
Starting at a young age, she was persistent on perfecting brownies and cookies with the goal of creating a soft center and a perfect crispy edge as well as mastering her grandmother’s deviled egg recipe for all to enjoy. She has never been the kind of person to shy away from a challenging recipe, so when macarons were presented to her, she knew she had to try making them. Through 2020 she baked A TON like most other people did to pass the time while we were all stuck at home. Many of bagels, loafs of bread, English muffins, giant cinnamon rolls, funnel cakes, beignets, pizzas, cornuts, jars of homemade jam, and cream cheese filled pretzels were made during this time. However, nothing consumed her time and focus like baking macarons did. She made countless batches while documenting her process through numerous videos, pictures, and notes on her pursuit to mastery. After much trial and error and some wasted maca-wrongs, she got it maca-right!

When Ciara isn't baking she enjoys exercising, traveling, spending time outside, visiting Disney parks, and spending time with her friends and family.​
